Property investors pointed towards student market

Property investors looking to make their next purchase have been
advised to consider student accommodation.
Stephen Parry of Landlord Assist, a tenant eviction and rent
recovery service, noted in the company's online blog that landlords
could do well if they buy property in university towns.
"Provided you accept increased wear and tear over family
occupation, student lets should provide a satisfactory yield and a
reduced chance of security of tenure issues," he explained.
It comes after the central body for university applications, UCAS,
reported a rise in the number of would-be students looking to gain
places on higher education courses in the forthcoming academic
year.
With a potentially bigger market to tap into than previous years,
being a student landlord could prove lucrative.
Indeed, Savills Research recently suggested that the number of
students applying for universities across the UK is outweighing the
demand for accommodation.
